EU millers export wheat flour mostly by sea vessel to the final destinations outside of the EU. European main ports are well equipped for loading containers or presling bagged flour (1100 t) into sea vessels. In addition, some EU exporters benefit from loading equipment at the mill which allows for direct loading into the sea vessel.

All main European ports are well connected to ports on other continents.

Wheat flour is packed in bags meeting customers' specifications, from 5 to 50 kg in polypropylene paper, with or without paper layers, or in polypropylene cotton bags.

With modern tracking and tracing systems, customers are informed about the arrival date of the goods during vessel transportation.

With the electronic Bill of Lading (B/L) system for containers, documents are always ready in time to enable the acceptance of the goods in the ports of arrival.
