What exactly are pulses?
The term 'pulses' comprises "crops harvested solely for dry grain, thereby excluding those crops mainly for oil extraction (e.g., soybean and groundnut) and for sowing purposes (e.g., seeds of clover & alfalfa)".Green peas, green beans & other legume species are not however categorised as #pulses when harvested as vegetables. So it depends on how they are grown/harvested.
